Regnum Global was founded in 2024 with a clear thesis: the same enterprise-grade engineering that powers Silicon Valley can — and should — power emerging markets. The gap isn't talent. It's access to infrastructure that actually works in the local context.

Our founder, Bernard Materu, spent a decade inside the companies building the cloud — AWS, Google, Wiz, F5. He saw firsthand how enterprise customers struggled to translate cloud capabilities into business outcomes. And he saw an even bigger gap: entire economies running on infrastructure that wasn't designed for them.

Tanzania's rental market had no trusted digital platform. Liquor delivery meant calling shops and hoping. Moving across the city meant hiring strangers with no accountability. These weren't technology problems waiting for a startup — they were infrastructure problems waiting for someone who understood both the technology and the market.
